This portrait essay was a project I worked on around the height of the COVID-19 pandemic when there was a lot of Asian hate circulating our communities and society. It had me thinking about Asians in the queer community and I wanted to showcase their contributions as they are part of two marginalized communities. Their identity and work makes positive influence and this portrait essay speaks to that.
